Your wedding

The Big Day

You want it to go just right.  But you don't want a fuss.  You don't want something too complicated.  But you want a ceremony that will remain in your guests memories, for a long time .... and for all the right reasons!  So it will be personal, well thought out, full of humour and insight ..... and concentrating on the people that matter - YOU!

That's where I come in!  My name is Libby Gaulton, I'm a trained celebrant and I would love to help you by creating the perfect ceremony for your perfect day.

Who Am I?

Hello, my name is Libby Gaulton.

I live in a lovely part of north Dorset with my family, too many animals, some of which are better behaved than others.

I'm a Dorset girl born & bred, but after college, I spent decades in London, working in global marketing, and that meant a lot of travel, for which I forever be grateful.

I have been trained by International College of Professional Celebrants as a Family and Funeral Celebrant.

Weddings

If you choose me as your Wedding Celebrant, I will work with you to help create your wonderful day by:

  • getting to know you!
  • understanding what you want from your big day
  • discussing all the possibilities which make up a great ceremony
  • writing your wedding day ceremony
  • making any changes, amendments, additions you want to make
  • rehearsing with you
  • conducting the ceremony

Creating your day

How do you see your wedding day?

There are many different ways to create a memorable ceremony, and many different routes you can explore, including

  • vows, written especially for your ceremony
  • using rituals, like handfasting or the sand ceremony
  • involving members of your family in the ceremony
  • readings, poems

I am here to create the ceremony with you and for you.

Funerals

At this most traumatic and difficult of times, you are having to deal with many things, and make instant decisions.  This is so hard and I will manage the responsibility of guiding you through the funeral with the greatest respect.  My job is:

  • to meet and spend time with you to understand how you want your loved one to be remembered.
  • write the service, including the eulogy if that is what you would like me to do.
  • help you to identify readings and music that you might like to use at the funeral.
  • lead the service, as instructed by you, on the day of the funeral.
